Some of my earliest memories stem back to drawing and painting with my father, a retired Art teacher. From a young age, my father gave me a wide variety of Art media to play with, and would often show me different ways of utilizing them. In much the same way that my father gave me a passion for Art, my mother, a business teacher, gave me a passion for education. In 2006, I enrolled in the Fine Arts program at SUNY Oswego, where I worked under Juan Perdiguero. In 2011 I received my BFA in Studio Arts focusing in Figure Drawing, and in 2013 I earned my MAT in Art Education. I am now an Art teacher in the Syracuse City School District teaching at Frazer Elementary.
Science and Art
As an avid dabbler in the Sciences, I feel that Science and Art are intimately connected to one another as ways of observing and analyzing the world. The studies of Dendrology, Dendrochronology, Anatomy, Microbiology, and Zoology, to name a few, are common subjects of interest in my projects.
